_{Welcome. Once again, it’s time for ‚In the Gothlight,‘ the column where your faithful Dark Entries servant keeps you updated on
what you, as a lover of the gothic (rock) genre, should not miss! This time, we feature a project from Germany (Regensburg) called The Timeless Valley, proving that gothic rock is far from dead there. The Timeless Valley is the brainchild of Hag En Valley (vocals, lyrics, guitar, programming), supported by Stefan (guitar, backing vocals, programming, lyrics) and Raik (bass, backing vocals, programming, lyrics). Early last year, they released the maxi CD ‚Elisa (In Between Breaths)‘ on Calygram Records, though the group is far from new. The Timeless Valley was active between 1991 and 1999 when the German gothic rock scene was arguably the largest in Europe, having taken the torch from England. In 2021, Hag En Valley quietly returned, and since then, the group has released several impressive (digital) singles. Hag En Valley makes no secret of being a huge fan of The Sisters of Mercy, which is evident in the music that The Timeless Valley delivers with bravado. Gothic rock, dark and driven with a clear reference to old school goth. Wonderful. Their most recent single ‚Home Of The Weird‘ was released last December and can also be found in the Bandcamp jukebox, along with the maxi CD ‚Elisa (In Between Breaths)‘. In my opinion, indispensable for lovers of authentic gothic rock! Bring on that album. Gothic rock undead!} ¹
